Kevin Little shares life with his wife Kimberley and their child Lucian, an artist guiguitheghoul (Instagram). In addition to pastoral visiting (by bus, walking, and sometimes by car) Kevin loves to preach, facilitate faith studies, and welcome newcomers. Kevin is a passionate believer in public service and comes by it honestly: his late mother Lenora taught him the value of “serving a cause greater than self.” Kevin also loves to write, and his work frequently appears in the Halifax Herald. On Sunday nights, you can find Kevin at Brunswick Street United Church at 6 p.m. leading worship in a sacred circle. On Thursdays, 11 am and 12 pm Kevin serves coffee to 75 guests at Margaret House. Kevin loves ministry, listening to stories. He is delighted to be working in Team ministry at Woodlawn United.
Bethe Benjamin Cameron shares life with her husband Rick and their wonderful, blended family of six children and two amazing grandchildren.Bethe has a passion for living her faith. She is a Grief Recovery Specialist, Spiritual Guide, Healing Pathways Practitioner. She is trained in Trauma Informed Care, Mental Health First Aid, and Life Works Suicide Care. She also is a United Fresh Start facilitator. As a Godly Play Storyteller, she ignites the curiosity of children and adults alike. They to open themselves to making meaning in their lives as they deepen their relationship with the Sacred. As a child her parents’ example demonstrated the Christian call to social justice and encouraged her to support people in need. Her ministry equips her to be of service as an advocate for LGBTQ+, migrant workers, newcomers and to help anyone affected by family violence. She is delighted to be working in Team ministry at Woodlawn United.
Ruth has been a member of Woodlawn United Church for over 40 years. She works Friday's in our office as an Administrative Assistant. We are so thankful for all of Ruth's hard work and her generous personality.She has one daughter and three grandsons. Ruth was born in Gaspe, Quebec and lived in Quebec City, moving to Nova Scotia at the age of 10. In her spare time you can find Ruth cooking, entertaining, as well as enjoying counted cross stitch. She loves to entertain and spend time with family and friends.
Orginally from near Ottawa, Ontario, Kaitlin moved to Nova Scotia to study photography and Graphic Design. She loves every genre of music, but Country music is her absolute favourite, especially classic and 90's country. She loves traveling, hockey (Go Sens Go), the beach and talking about faith. She is a member of the choir here at Woodlawn and also does Powerpoint for Sunday Worship. She shares her life with her parter Chelsea and her 4 cats, Willow, Henry, Cecil and Grace.
June Rigden, Woodlawn’s current vocal music director, holds degrees in Piano Performance, Music History, and Education from Mount Allison University, and brings to her music making richly varied experience as an elementary school music teacher, choral director, concert pianist, accompanist for numerous choirs and soloists, and chorister and vocalist herself. She also found ways during Covid to keep vocal music alive in both school and our church by using her computer skills to hold online Zoom choir rehearsals and create virtual choir videos.
