We  have a diverse worship life at Woodlawn, with a regular worship service every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM. Worship is led by our ministry team, Rev. Phillip Kennedy, Rev. Mary Lynne Whyte, Shannon MacLean and Bob Rushton.

Come hear the story of our faith,  listen for the voice of God and the movement of the Holy Spirit in our diverse worship services.

  • The message is shared in story, sermon, monologue, dramatic presentations and sometimes even video.
  • Music is an integral part of worship and different each week. You will hear amazing sounds: choir, anthems, organ, piano, drums, and various different instruments.
  • We have communion several times a year. Everyone is welcome at Christ's table to break bread (Gluten free) and drink the wine (grape juice).

Prayer Centres

9:00 AM - 10:00 AM Sunday Mornings
Turner Hall - Heritage Building

Some people like to begin worship by greeting new and old friends and catching up. Others prefer a time of silence and prayer. Since the sanctuary is often a place of connection and catching up before worship, we have opened a “chapel” space before worship for a place of contemplation, meditation or prayer in Turner Hall of the Heritage Building. The beautifully refinished basement room of the white Church has been turned into a place to retreat and spend quiet time with God through prayer centers in many different interactive ways.

You decide individually what prayer centres to visit and how long to spend at each one! Come explore prayer through all the senses… all while surrounded by twinkling lights and beautiful music. It is a deeply moving experience. Many feel “at peace”, “renewed”, “close to God” or “transformed” after the experience. It is a wonderful way to slow down, prepare for worship and spend some time with God.

All invited to participate between 9-10 AM Sunday mornings until September. The space is not accessible, as you need to go down stairs to enter the space. If you would like to articulate in prayer centres but the stairs prohibit you from doing so, please let Shannon know so we can make other arrangements.
