Thank GOD it's Thursday!

Every Thursday at 7 PM

A series of informative, interesting and engaging discussions on a variety of complex and dynamic issues that affect us on a daily basis. Come for information, education, fellowship and FUN!

Thursday November 1: SPIRITS & THE SPIRIT - Boston Pizza, Portland St. Join us where FAITH is on TAP. This is a place where we can discuss things that really matter to us united around a table. Maybe you want to order wings and talk of spiritual things? Perhaps you are more of a nacho and news kind of person? Bring your questions, and your friends and come out to discuss whatever is important to you with a Minister from Woodlawn United Church and everyone else around the table. If you are a regular church goer, you are invited.  If you are spiritual but not religious, come along. If you are questioning or have life all figured out, you are welcome to come and share your story.

Thursday November 8: Rooms A & B ~ Judaism 102. Come join us to hear speaker Rabbi David Ellis continue his overview of the Jewish faith. Questions are greatly encouraged as they make for well-rounded discussions. It won't matter if you missed our first session in late September; all are welcome.

Thursday November 15: Rooms A & B ~ Prayer Centres.  You’ll be greeted with low lighting, beautiful music, and many different prayer centres. Take time out of your busy life to connect with the Holy. ‚ÄčExplore stations...write a letter to God, colour a Mandela (an ancient practice used to clear your mind), or you might choose a body prayer, or reflect on our story in scripture. This is your time to connect and quiet your mind and listen for the still voice of God.  You are invited to come for the whole thing, or come for whatever part you like. Experience "renewal", "peacefulness", and a "connection with God.”

Thursday November 22: Rooms A & B. Mi’kmaq Relations advocate and member of Acadia First Nation Mi’kmaw community, Lisa Francis will share with us about the traditions and celebrations of Mi’kmaq culture and tradition. Come to learn about Mi’kmaq history, pow wow customs, language and spirituality and the connection and prayer to the Creator.

Thursday November 29: Rooms A & B ~ Funeral Planning Information Workshop. You are invited to attend one of two identical sessions to hear      speaker, Jessica Lyle, Estate Lawyer, on 'will planning' and end-of-life decisions.
